Technical Assistance:
1. Reviewed requirements for all electrical outlets to have protective safety covers in the daycare areas of the home.
2. Discussed background check requirements. The inspector will send instructions and link for obtaining the required background checks.
3. Outdoor climbers/slides should not be used on the brick pavers.

Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted at 12:13pm. Observed 6 children totaling 20 points with 2 caregivers. Ratios and supervision were in compliance. Children were lying down for naps in cribs and on cots, being held and fed, playing with toys and coloring during the inspection. The daycare areas of the home were found to be clean and sufficiently supplied with toys and equipment for the children. Areas of non-compliance with standards and laws reviewed were found. Standard #: 8VAC20-800-780-B
Description: Based on records reviewed, 2 of 4 children's records did not include documentation of the parent's signed acknowledgment of reviewing emergency contact information annually. Evidence: The record for Child #2 and #3 were last signed by the parent in August 2022.

Plan of Correction: We will ask parent review and sign the paper [sic]

Standard #: 8VAC20-800-900-B
Description: Based on observations made, an 11-month old child was allowed to drink a bottle while lying in a crib. Evidence: Child #5 was observed drinking from a bottle while in the crib for a nap.

Plan of Correction: We don't give any more milk inside crid. [sic]

Standard #: 8VAC20-800-90-C
Description: Based on records reviewed, 3 of 4 children's records did not include documentation of immunizations every 6 months until the age of 2 years old.

Evidence:

1. Child #2 - The immunizations on-file were dated July 2022 when the child was 4 months old.
2. Child #3- The immunizations on-file were dated July 2019 when the child was 3 months old.
3. Child #4 - The immunizations on-file were dated June 2022 when the child was 4 months old.

Plan of Correction: We will add updated immunization paper
