An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today between the hours of 10:00am through 11:00am. There were no children in care today. A total of four children's files and three staff/household member's files were reviewed. The walk through of the family day home was conducted. The Emergency Preparedness Plan was reviewed. Standard #: 8VAC20-800-790 Description: Based on observation and interview, posted telephone numbers were not posted in a visible area close to the telephone.
Evidence:
1. A 911 or local dial number for police, fire,emergency medical responders, and regional poison control center telephone numbers were not posted in a visible area close to the telephone.
2. Caregiver #1 confirmed that the required posted telephone numbers were not posted at the time of the inspection.Plan of Correction: Emergency numbers will be posted in a visible area close to the telephone.
Standard #: 8VAC20-800-830-C Description: Based on documentation review and interview, documentation was not maintained of emergency evacuation and shelter in place drills.
Evidence:
1. Documentation of emergency evacuation drills and shelter in place drills were not available at the time of the inspection.
2. Caregiver #1 confirmed that the drills were conducted, but could not locate the documentation.Plan of Correction: The provider will locate the emergency evacuation drill log or complete a new one.
