An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on November 20, 2023 between the hours of approximately 12:45 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. There were 2 children present with the Provider for a total of 5 points within the supervision guidelines. The children were observed engaging in free play and watching a show on a tablet. Positive interactions were observed during this inspection. A complete inspection of the physical plant, children records, fire drill log, menu, and attendance were observed during this inspection. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Standard #: 22.1-289.058 Description: Based on observation and caregiver interview, the provider did not equip the home, that was built before 2015 and serves preschool-age children, with at least one carbon monoxide detector.
Evidence: When asked about the location of the carbon monoxide detector, Caregiver #1 stated that there is not a carbon monoxide detector in the home.Plan of Correction: I will buy one.
