1. Reviewed which parts of the inspection report are required to be posted and which are not to be posted in the home.
2. Discussed menu posting in an area of the home where parents can easily view it on a daily basis. Changes to menu should be noted when they occur.
3. Inspector provided instructions for completing the Central Registry Searches.
- Comments:
-
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted at 2:05pm. Observed 1 child totaling 2 points with 1 caregiver. Ratios and supervision were in compliance. The child was building a fort with blankets over a table, playing with toys and watching TV during the inspection. Lunch served included eggs, croissant, banana and milk. The caregiver was actively engaged with the child and troubleshooting unwanted behavior. The daycare areas of the home were found to be clean and well supplied with toys and equipment for the children. An area of non-compliance with standards and laws reviewed were found. Standard #: 22.1-289.036-A Description: Based on records reviewed, 4 of 5 household members do not have a required background check in the past 5 years. to include the provider. Evidence: The Central Registry Search for caregiver #1, substitute caregiver #1/household member #4 and household members #1, #2 and #3 were all previously completed on 11/25/18. Plan of Correction: The provider stated that she would promptly have all background checks completed.
