Technical Assistance:

Provided consultation on the following: 8VAC20-800-120B Caregiver references should be documented prior to employment and caregiver emergency contact information should be kept on file at the home.

Comments:

An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted on 11/27/2023 from 10:55am to 12:00pm. There were 9 children ages 16 months to age 2 years old (21 points) with the Provider and 1 assistant. The programming area, attendance, menus, Provider, Assistant and Household member records, 3 children?s records, emergency drills, emergency supplies, and policies were reviewed. The outdoor play area was not inspected due to the weather. There was no medication on site. Children were observed participating in free play, eating, and napping. Handwashing procedures were also observed. The Provider had current certification in CPR and First Aid training. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice. Please complete the columns for "Plan of Correction" and "Date to be Corrected" for each violation cited on the Violation Notice, and then return a signed and dated copy to the licensing office by 5pm on 12/1/23. Description:	(Repeat Violation) Based on review of 3 Caregiver records, the provider did not obtain documentation of the results of a national fingerprint background check prior to the first day of employment. Evidence: The record for Caregiver #3 (Date of Hire 11/20/23), did not contain documentation of a fingerprint background check completed prior to the first day of employment.
Plan of Correction:	I am still waiting for the results. I will send you a copy as soon as I will get it.
