8VAC20-790 Subsidy Program Vendor Requirements for Family Day Homes

A Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection (SHSI) was conducted on 11/21/2023 from 9:40am to 10:40am to review supplemental health and safety requirements. There were 6 children ages 2 years old to age 7 years old (10 points) with the Provider. The programming area, attendance, menus, Provider, Assistant and Household member records, 6 children?s records, emergency drills, emergency supplies, and policies were reviewed. The outdoor play area was not inspected due to weather. There were no medications on site. Children were observed participating in breakfast, watching tv and free play. Handwashing procedures were also observed. The Provider had current certification in MAT, CPR and First Aid training.
A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
