Comments:

An unannounced Monitoring inspection was conducted today. A total of 6 children with 2 staff were onsite during the morning program and a total of 8 children with 2 staff were onsite for the afternoon program. The morning group was observed returning from the local playground for outside activities. They were observed transitioning to inside where they put their coats on and prepared to be picked up by their grown up. The afternoon group was observed arriving as they hung their belongings onto their individual hooks and lined up to wash hands. They took their places on the floor in the main programming room where staff interacted with them. The children had assigned responsibilities as they reviewed the weather, the month and day of the week. "Please repeat after me" was used as the children repeated the sounds of words. They stood as the recited the Pledge of Allegiance. The letter of the week was "L" as the children called out words that began with the letter "L". Morning stretches were enjoyed by the children where they conducted small jumping jacks and jogging in place. Observation of the entire program space was made which included the bathroom. Medication onsite and was found complete with authorizations. A total of 2 staff files and 4 children's files were reviewed. This inspection occurred between 11am and 12:30pm.
