Technical Assistance:

Comments:
A subsidy health and safety inspection was conducted on 12/13/2023 from 12:40 pm - 1:45 pm. At the time of entrance there were 9 children in care with two caregivers. The ages of children in care counted for a total of 23 points.
A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection.

One violation was found which is listed on the violation notice issued to the vendor.

Violations:
Standard #: 8VAC20-790-180-B
Description: Based on record review and interview, the vendor failed to maintain a written hard copy record of daily attendance that documents the arrival and departure of each child in care as it occurs.

Evidence:
1. Child 1, who was in care during the inspection, was not listed on the attendance record for the FDH when the inspector arrived at 12:40pm.
a. The provider stated that child 1 had arrived at approximately 9:30 am.
b. The provider stated the child had not been added to the attendance record.

Plan of Correction: The provider stated this was an oversight. Child 1 was added to the attendance record during the inspection and current attendance will be maintained going forward.
