An unannounced monitoring inspection was completed from 11:10am until 12:30. There were 10 children and two providers present.
The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 3 staff records and 4 children?s records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violation were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-800-960-E Description: Based on observation, bottle were not labeled with the child's name and date.
Evidence:
1. Two infants (child #1 and #2) were in care on bottles and bottles were not labeled with names and dates.Plan of Correction: The provider will label the bottles with the name and date when more than one infant is in care.
Standard #: 8VAC20-800-350-E Description: Based on observation, the hot tap water available to children was above 120 degrees.
Evidence:
1. The hot water in the sink children use was hot to the touch and had steam coming from it.Plan of Correction: The provider will adjust the hot water heater.
