This monitoring inspection was initiated by licensing staff and concluded on 12/14/2023, between the hours of 9:45 am to 11:45 am. There were 10 children present (29 points), ranging from infant to preschool-age, with 2 caregivers supervising. The children were engaged in the following: games, toy play, arts & crafts, movie time, diaper changing, hand washing, naptime, lunch, and other organized activities. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration; physical plant; staffing and supervision; programming; special care and emergencies; and nutrition. A total of 10 children records, 2 household files, and 2 staff records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined that there were (2) non-compliances with the applicable standards. These violations were documented on the Violation Notice issued to the home.

Standard #: 8VAC20-800-780-B Description: Based on review, 3 of 10 children files indicated that the documentation of the annual review of each child's emergency contact information was not conducted for this year.
Evidence -
1. On the date of inspection (12/14/2024), the following children had annual reviews greater than one year from their last dated review: Child #2 (last reviewed - 09/30/2022); Child #4 (last reviewed - 12/04/2022); and Child #5 (last reviewed - 05/22/2022).
2. This information was also confirmed by the Provider on the date of inspection.Plan of Correction: Updated reviews will be conducted prior to the end of the year for all applicable children.
Standard #: 8VAC20-800-60-B Description: Based on review, 3 of 10 children files indicated that not all of the required information was contained within each child's file.
