Comments:
An announced initial inspection was conducted on January 10, 2024, from 10:15am to 11am. The applicant intends to operate a family day home for up to 12 children, ranging in age from 0 to 12 years. Applicant is currently not watching children at this time however the same home was also a daycare prior. There is a separate entrance for the home and for the daycare. The entire home, to include areas where children will be cared for, bathroom facilities, kitchen and the outside play area were inspected. First aid and emergency supplies, documentation of emergency practice drills, the emergency preparedness plan and required postings were reviewed. There were no violations identified during the inspection. A six month conditional license is recommended to allow the applicant the opportunity to demonstrate continued compliance with the Standards for Licensed Family Day Homes. All future inspections will be unannounced. The first unannounced inspection will be conducted within 60 days from the date the license is issued.
