Technical Assistance:
Discussed using Department of Education (DOE) forms as the DSS forms are outdated.
Provided consultation on standard:
1) 70A: obtaining documentation that parents have been provided information on whether or not there is liability insurance. There is a model form for this on the DOE website.
2) 830B: shelter-in-place procedures shall be practiced a minimum of twice per year.

Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted from 11:00 - 11:45 am with the provider. There was one daycare and one household child present, ranging from two to four years of age, for a total of four points. The children were observed playing with a variety of age-appropriate toys and coloring. Two child records, three caregiver/household member records, the emergency drill log, daily attendance, and required posted information were all reviewed. The provider is not currently certified in Medication Administration Training (MAT) and cannot administer medication to children in care. If you have further questions about this inspection please contact Donna Liberman at 540-359-5244 or Donna.Liberman@doe.virginia.gov.
