- Technical Assistance:
Discussed the possibility of changing the capacity of the center. We discussed submitting the square footage and request to the livening office for a modification for the license.
135 children were present with 24 teachers in 11 groupings during this renewal visit. The children were observed playing with blocks and legos, Playing in home living, playing with mud, drawing and painting and playing outside. Observed children making a hedgehog out of bread dough and being dinosaur detectives. Interaction between the children and staff were observed in all the groups and the center has lots of space and materials to explore. The outdoor classrooms were used for lots of play today. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-510-A Description: Based on the review of 9 medications,the center failed to get a new authorization for long term emergency medication. Evidence: Child A has an epi-pen that was authorized until 4/18/2015. Plan of Correction: Will ask the parent for authorization.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-550-D Description: Based on the review of emergency records, the center failed to conduct a monthly evacuation drill for March. Plan of Correction: We will make sure we have monthly drills.
