Violations were cited as a result of this inspection.

Please complete the plan of correction and ?date to be corrected? for each violation cited on the violation notice, sign, and return it to me within 5 business days from today, 02/20/2024. Please specify how the deficient practice will be or has been corrected. Your plan of correction should contain: 1) steps to correct the noncompliance with the standard(s), 2) measures to prevent the noncompliance from occurring again, and 3) person(s) responsible for implementing each step and/or monitoring any preventative measure(s).

Violations:
Standard #: 8VAC20-790-190-B-12
Description: Based on record review, and interview, the vendor failed to obtain a written care plan for each child with a diagnosed food allergy, to include instructions from a physician regarding the food to which the child is allergic and the steps to be taken in the event of a suspected or confirmed allergic reaction.
Evidence:
The record for child #1, date of enrollment 8/21/23, revealed a food allergy. The record did not contain a written care plan for child #1 to include instructions from a physician regarding the food to which the child is allergic and the steps to be taken in the event of a suspected or confirmed allergic reaction. Interviews with the vendor confirmed that the record did not contain a written care plan for child #1.

Plan of Correction: I will make sure each child with a food allergy listed on their registration form has a written care plan from their physician before starting.
