Technical Assistance:
As discussed if the refrigerator located on the lower level is used please ensure a portable thermometer is placed inside the refrigerator.

Decals or stickers are beneficial on the sliding glass doors to ensure children are aware of the glass.

3 new cribs onsite and inspected. Manufactured in 2017.

Comments:
An Initial inspection was conducted today due to a re-location. There were no children present during the inspection. A walk thru of all 3 levels of the home, front yard, back yard and observation of the garage was made. The primary programming space is located on the lower level which is equipped with a bathroom, food preparation area and additional rooms to be used for napping. Three new cribs on site that were inspected and in compliance with the consumer product safety commission. Water temperature taken and determined in compliance. Programming equipment, toys and supplies were onsite and determined age and stage appropriate for the requested age range. The home provides adequate space for the licensed capacity requested. Description: Based on observation of the family day home, one area was not maintained in a safe condition.
Evidence:
The deck located in the backyard has areas that wee determined a head entrapment hazard.

Plan of Correction: We will install trellis in these areas. Until this is completed, the children will not have access to the backyard.

Standard #: 8VAC20-800-320-G
Description: Based on observation of the family day home, an annual inspection by a knowledgeable inspector was not completed.
Evidence:
The family day home has a wood burning fireplace which was not inspected to verify that the device is properly maintained and cleaned.

Plan of Correction: An inspection was scheduled to inspect the fireplace by the end of next week.
