Comments:
An unannounced Monitoring inspection was conducted today. A total of 3 children were present (6 points) with the Provider and 1 assistant were present. The children were playing freely on the floor and actively engaged with staff. Observation of the programming space, diapering area, bathroom, kitchen and backyard was made. A newly installed cement patio area was added in the backyard which allows the children to ride bikes. A newly installed gate at the top of the stairs leading to the basement was also installed. Morning snack today was blueberry muffin and clementine. The provider encouraged the children to clean up their toys to transition to a table top sensory activity which consisted of trays of sand that the children could manipulate. A total of 4 children's files and all staff files were reviewed today. No medication needs and no identified food allergies. The violations from the previous licensing inspection were reviewed and the corrective actions were verified. This inspection began at 9am and ended at 10:30am. Thank you for your cooperation today. Please email me at:: lisa.hudson@doe.virginia.gov with any questions.
