Comments:
A monitoring inspection was initiated on 3/27/24 and concluded on 3/27/24. There were 4 children present with the provider. The point total was 9. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 4 child records, 1 provider record, and 4 resident records were reviewed. The inspection started at 9:15am and concluded at 10:15am.

The Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-800-330-A
Description: REPEAT

The provider failed to ensure that a working landline was available during the hours of operation as required.

Evidence:
There is no working landline at the family day home as required.

Plan of Correction: A landline can not be installed until the correct/updated/supported optical lines are run in our area by the phone company. There is currently no given date of when this will occur. As soon as this is done, we will secure a landline as required. We have cell phones for use, and a back up plan in place in case one were not to work. An AV request has been submitted for approval to licensing regarding this.
