Comments:
An initial inspection was conducted today between 1:00pm and 2:30pm. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, both inside and outside staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. All policies and procedure's were reviewed. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Standard #: 8VAC20-800-330-A
Description: Based on observation, the family day home did not have a landline telephone available that was operable and accessible during the family day home's hours of operation.
Evidence
The landline phone was not connected and operable.

Plan of Correction: I am having Verizon come out and connect the landline phone. I will send my inspector a picture after it is installed.
