Discussed the new water testing requirement.

Comments:

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 9:21am-10:40am with the provider on site. There were 7 children (18 points) present with 2 caregivers. A sample of 6 children's files and 2 caregiver/household files were reviewed. The children were engaged in the following: playing with toys, being held, eating and sleeping in the baby swing. The site was clean, organized and contained an abundant supply of developmentally appropriate materials. Interactions between the children and caregivers were positive. The physical space, attendance records, drill record, menu and the Emergency Preparedness Plan were reviewed. There were no medications on site. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the violation notice. Please complete the ?plan of correction? and ?date to be corrected? for each violation cited on the violation notice and return it to the department within 5 business days from receipt. Please specify how the deficient practice will be or has been corrected. Please do not use caregiver names; list caregivers by positions only. Any plans of correction not received within 5 business days will result in the plans not appearing on the Violation Notice and public website. Standard #:	8VAC20-800-80-A
Description:	Based on review, the provider did not obtain Verification of the identity and age of the child; and name and location of previous day care programs and schools the child has attended within seven business days of the child's first day of attendance. Evidence: 1. Child #2's file (start date 2/01/2021) did not have record of obtaining from the parent verification of the identity and age of the child; and name and location of previous day care programs and schools the child has attended.
Plan of Correction:	I will ask the parents for it.
Standard #:	8VAC20-800-180-A
Description:	Based on review and interview, the provider did not obtain for each caregiver and adult household member a current Report of Tuberculosis Screening form, in accordance with the requirements in 8VAC20-800-170, every two years from the date of the first screening. Evidence: 1. Caregiver #1 had a Tuberculosis Screening or test dated 2/01/2022 and had been more than two years. The caregiver stated they did it, but could not find the copy of it.
