An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today between 12:00pm-12:50pm. There were 9 children present with the Provider and 1 assistants for a total of 34 points within the supervision guidelines. The children were observed being held, taking a nap and other organized activities. Positive interactions were observed during this inspection. A complete inspection of the physical plant, children and staff records, evacuation drill log, attendance and emergency procedures were observed during this inspection. Violations were found during today?s inspection and can be viewed on the Violation Notice. Thank you for your cooperation. Standard #: 8VAC20-800-120-B Description: Based on a review of records, 1 out of 2 Assistants records did not contain the required information.
Evidence:
1. Caregiver #2 (doh: 6/20/2023) had two references on file that were obtained after the employee began working. The two references were dated 8/18/2023.Plan of Correction: Moving forward we will make sure that employees we hire have their references conducted prior to hire and in the required timeframe.
Standard #: 8VAC20-800-170-A Description: Based on a review of caregiver records, 1 out of 3 caregivers did have a Tuberculosis screening on file at the time of hire and prior to coming in contact with children.
Evidence:
1. Caregiver #3 (doh: 1/22/2024) had a tuberculosis screening on file dated 2/27/2024, which was after the Caregiver's date of hire.Plan of Correction: Moving forward we will make sure that employees we hire have their TB screening prior to hire and in the required timeframe.
