1. Reviewed menu requirements - what is posted on the menu vs. what food is actually served to the children.
2. Discussed substitute caregiver requirements, how to document their time worked and when visiting children (not enrolled) count and not count in the points.
3. The inspector will send information about upcoming Family Day Home training and information for completing the VA Central Registry Search.
4. Wood mulch used as resilient surfacing for the outdoor playground should not contain large or sharp wood pieces.

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted at 10:25am. Observed 12 children totaling 32 points with 3 caregivers. Ratios and supervision were in compliance. Children were observed playing with toys and puzzles, washing hands and eating lunch. The caregivers were actively engaged with the children and activities. The daycare areas of the home were found to be clean and sufficiently supplied with toys and equipment for the children. Areas of non-compliance with standards and laws reviewed were found.
