Discussed the importance of following up on central registry searches if they are not back within 30 days.

Comments:

An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted on April 16, 2024 between the hours of 11:25am and 1:40pm. There were 6 children present, with 2 caregivers supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, special care and emergencies, child, caregivers and household members records, outdoor play area and nutrition. There was no medication on site. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Description:	Based on record review and interview, the provider failed to obtain the central registry finding within 30 days of employment. Evidence: 1. The record for Caregiver #3 (DOH 9/18/23) did not have documentation of a central registry finding at the time of inspection. 2. The provider acknowledged she had not received the central registry finding for Caregiver #3.
Plan of Correction:	The provider stated in the future, she will follow-up at least 2 times with the agency if she has not received the search results within 30 days of submission. The provider presented documentation of the first follow-up on the status of the submission but did not follow up again. During the inspection, the provider sent a second email to the agency for a status update.
