Discussed the portal lead testing requirements. More information will be provided at a later date. This requirement will not be enforced until January 2025.

Comments:
An unannounced Monitoring inspection was conducted today. A total of 4 children (10pts) with the Provider and 1 Assistant were present during the inspection. The children were seated at the table engaged with playdoh and were offered multiple cut out shapes to use to create various objects such as strawberries and dinosaurs. Staff were observed actively engaged with the children and one infant onsite. Staff heated an infant bottle and began to feed the infant while holding them the entire time. A walk thru of the entire home was made. One crib currently being used and 3 cots. Toys, books and materials were onsite and determined age and stage appropriate for the children currently in care. The children began to clean up the playdoh and utensils, washed their hands under staff supervision and began to transition outside to play in the backyard. The infant was provided tummy time on a blanket in one of the programming rooms with direct supervision by the Provider. The menu today included hamburgers, vegetables, fruit and milk or water to drink. The children were observed putting their shoes and jackets on independently prior to transitioning outside. A total of all 4 children's records, both staff and 1 household record were reviewed and found complete. No medication needs at this time and no identified food allergies. This inspection began at 10am and ended at approximately 11:30am. Thank you for your cooperation today. Please email me at: lisa.hudson@doe.virginia.gov with any questions.
