Technical Assistance:
Consultation was provided in the following standards: children's records, staff records, special services, and emergency preparedness plan.

Comments:
An announced initial inspection was conducted today from 10:00am to 11:30am. There were no children present during today's inspection. One staff record was reviewed. The physical plant, emergency supplies and procedures were also reviewed. No medications were reported to be on site. The interior of the center was found to be clean, organized, and well supplied with toys and equipment for the children. The floor plan submitted and the measurements taken today were reviewed; allowing a total license capacity of 27 children. Areas of non-compliance are identified in this report. Description: Based upon interview, at least one staff member on duty did not have a current daily health observation (DHO) training. Evidence: The licensee confirmed that at least one staff member on site did not obtained within the last three years, instruction in performing the daily health observation of children.

Plan of Correction: I will obtain the training by August 1st, 2015.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-540-A
Description: Based upon observations made, the first aid kit was incomplete. Evidence: The first aid kit was missing a thermometer.

Plan of Correction: I will purchase a thermometer to add to the kit by July 8, 2015.
