Today an unannounced renewal inspection was conducted between 10:15am and 11:45am. There were 30 children with 5 staff. Children were observed building, painting, having snack, washing hands, weaving, and playing on the playground. Violations were observed and discussed with the supervisor. Staff records are reviewed off site. Children's records, medications, first aid kit, evacuation drills, physical space, and supervision was observe and inspected. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-280-G Description: Based on observation, a hazardous substance was not kept in the original container and the substitute container did not clearly indicate their contents. Evidence: In the cabinet by the sink a container used for a bleach/water solution was not labeled with the contents. Plan of Correction: The container was labeled during the inspection.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-420-E-3 Description: Based on record review, 2 of 5 records did not have documentation of yearly updates. Evidence: Child #2 and #4 record did not have documentation that parents confirmed that the required information in the child's record is up to date. Plan of Correction: Will have parents sign and update records if needed.
