Children's arrival procedures- parents involvement.
An unannounced inspection was conducted from715-815 am. The Inspector arrived to find 4 children with 2 staff and throughout the morning, children arrived and were greeted by the staff. The staff had activities set fir the children, including working on masks, playing UNO, and planning activities with kids. There were kids who asked questions and interviewed the inspector about school. Medication procedures, evacuation drills, emergency plans, attendance, and staff information. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-60-A Description: Based on record review of 6 children's files, the center has not maintained documentation of child updates and confirmation of up-to-date information in the child's record. Evidence: 1. All 6 files that were reviewed were for children who have been enrolled in the program for more than a year. 2. 1-4 files did not have documentation to verify parent's reviewed information in the file and confirmed information (parent's work, addresses, emergency contacts)is current. Plan of Correction: We have been updating files and will continue to talk to parents.
