Thank you for your assistance during this unannounced monitoring inspection conducted today, November 9, 2015. This on site visit was from 9:45 a.m. through 11:30 p.m. On this date, there were twelve (12) students in the care of two (2) staff in one classroom. There are a total of thirty (30) students enrolled. There were three (3) children's and two staff records reviewed and updated. No medication is being administered at this time. Areas observed were free choice play, hand washing/bathroom procedures, handwriting, story and snack. Snack was observed to meet USDA guidelines and consisted of apple juice and graham crackers. All interactions between staff and the children were appropriate and the children seemed comfortable with the daily routine. Children have been completing seasonal activities for the month of November and artwork is displayed throughout the classroom. The preschool is well equipped with a variety of age/stage materials for the children in care. If I may be of assistance please contact me at (540) 430-9256.
