Thank you for your assistance during this unannounced inspection. This on-site visit was conducted on February 23, 2016 from 10:45 a.m. through 1:00 p.m. On this date, there were ninety-six (96) children in the care of fifteen (15) staff members in eight classrooms. There are a total of one-hundred eleven (111) children enrolled in this program. Five (5) children's records were reviewed. Three staff records were reviewed on January 19, 2016 at the Forest Lakes location. The medication and medication paperwork was reviewed for two children. Areas of non-compliance may be found on the violation notice. Risk scores were discussed. Areas observed were educational center activities, craft activity, hand washing/bathroom/diapering procedures, story time, transition, lunch and nap. All interactions between staff and the children were appropriate and the children seemed comfortable with the daily routine. Children have been completing seasonal activities and artwork is displayed throughout the center. There are a wide variety of age/stage materials for the children in care. The outside play area was not inspected due to weather conditions. Please contact me if you have questions concerning this inspection, the licensing standards, and/or if I may be of assistance to you (540) 430-9256.
