40 children present with 6 staff in 4 groupings during this monitoring inspection. The children were observed having free play, eating lunch, playing after lunch, brushing teeth and getting ready for nap. Beginning of nap was observed as well. Today's lunch was Broccoli and chicken , soup, rice and grapes. Interaction between staff and children was observed during the visit. The center has lots of toys for the children to explore. This is a Korean immersion program. Please call me at 703-203-8659 if you have any questions regarding this visit. This visit was started at 12:00 and ended at 1:45.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-510-A Description: The center failed to get authorization for one medication that was recorded as given to the child twice last week. Evidence: According to the review of medication while conducting this inspection , one child is taking amoxicillin, according to the director the parents did not give the authorization back that she gave to them. Plan of Correction: I will make sure I get authorization for medications when they are dropped off.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-550-E Description: The center failed to record the shelter in place drills conducted for the last licensing year. Evidence: Based on the review of records and interview with the director the center conducted shelter in place drills in the last year but did not record them. Plan of Correction: I will record them.
