63.2 Licensure and Registration Procedures
- Technical Assistance:
Consulted with the director on designated rest periods and allowing non sleeping children to engage in quiet activities.
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today. Ratios for all nine classes were found in compliance. At the time of the inspection, the children were participating in group time, eating lunch, looking at books and resting. Next week the children will be going on a field trip to the zoo. Medication procedures were reviewed and found in order. Staff with current MAT, first aid and CPR training were on site. The exit interview was conducted with the director. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-270-A Description: Based on observation, the sink in Room #2 is leaking or overflowing causing the floor to be wet. Plan of Correction: GMVCHS Director reported violation to the Facilities Manager and requested submission of work order to correct plumbing issue for room #2 children's sink. The Facilities Manager will report to director results.
Standard #: 22VAC40-80-120-E-2 Description: Based on observation, the most recent Violation Notice was not posted. Plan of Correction: GMVCHS Director received last violation report from inspector to review information. The current violation report will be posted at the front of the head start hallway next to the front office for public knowledge. This will be completed for all future inspections.
