Technical Assistance:
Consultation was given on 4 staff needing to repeat the SDS and 1 staff the CRC prior to the end of October. Reviewed the new requirement for fingerprinting that will go into effect July 2017. Please do not have staff fingerprinted until additional information is posted on the vachildcare.com web site.

Comments:
An unannounced renewal study was conducted today from 9:30-11:00. All five classrooms were in ratio with direct care staff. The children were observed in infant care, diapering, free play in the classroom following an am snack of pineapple and crackers, story time, outside on the two playground areas and having a special classroom presentation in the toddler class. Lunch to be served today was pizza, carrots and celery with dip, fruit and milk. No medication was reported to be on site today. Five staff have MAT, all staff have current first aid and CPR certification and ten have Daily Health Observation. No new staff have been hired since the previous visit. Five staff records and ten children's records were reviewed as well as emergency preparation, injury reports and annual update, liability insurance documentation and first aid supplies. All rooms are well equipped with age appropriate materials and equipment. Please sign and date the report and return it to me within 10 calendar days from date of receipt.
