The visit was conducted while at the beginning of nap time. Children were observed listening to music and quietly resting on mats. Infants were observed being fed in high chairs. Bottle-fed infants were cradled in a caregiver's arms while feeding. Infants were also observed having tummy time and interacting with caregivers. Diapering and hand-washing procedures were also observed. There was an abundant supply of materials for the children. The center was clean and organized. Standard #: 22VAC40-191-40-C-1-B Description: Based on record review, one staff member did not have a completed search of central registry and a criminal history record check completed. Evidence: Staff B has a central registry check and a criminal history record check in the employee file completed through another agency. While the background checks, from a differing agency, are current and were completed within 90 days of the employee's hire date, the center is required to complete background checks of their own for any new applicant. Plan of Correction: We will send out new background checks as soon as possible.
