Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from approximately 12:00 to 1:30pm. Ratios for all six groups were found in compliance. The children were eating lunch, doing puzzles, listening to stories and reading. One staff person is new and just started working the beginning of this month. Background checks for her have been requested. Medication procedures were reviewed, and staff with current MAT, first aid and CPR training were on site. The violations cited at the last inspection have been corrected. If you have any questions, I can be reached at 703-479-4709.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-330-B
Description: Based on observation, there is an insufficient amount of resilient surfacing in the fall zones under the climbing equipment and slides on the playground.

Plan of Correction: More mulch will be added to these fall zones.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-510-G
Description: Based on observation, a prescription medication for one child was not in the original container with the prescription label attached to it.

Plan of Correction: The original container with the prescription label for this medication will be obtained, and the medication will be kept in the labeled container.
