Comments:
Your time and assistance were appreciated during the unannounced renewal inspection conducted on December 12, 2016, between the hours of approximately 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Twelve (12) children were enrolled and eleven (11) children were in the care of three staff members during the on site inspection. Two children's records and two staff members' records were reviewed and/or updated. Posted information, safety equipment (first aid kit, flashlight and radio) and available documents were observed/reviewed. The snack provided on this date was observed to comply with the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Child and Adult Care Food Program requirements and included english muffins with cream cheese, tropical fruit and water. The facility was observed to be clean and supplied with a variety of age/stage appropriate learning and play materials/toys. Program observation was completed. Activities observed on this date included: children's work cycle; circle time (language lesson and songs/movement); handwashing and diapering procedures; lunch; naptime and departure of children. Staff/child interactions, behavior guidance and daily routines/transitions were observed. Staff members were observed to be positive, patient and supportive in their interactions with the children in their care. Substantial compliance was maintained with the licensing standards; no violations were cited during this inspection.
