An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted with the director beginning at 3:55 PM and ending at 5:20 PM. There were fifty-seven children in care ages ranging from five to ten years old. The children were observed cleaning up after snack which consisted of graham crackers or dry cereal and milk. The children were observed doing homework, reading, and drawing. Hand washing procedures were also observed. Six children's records were reviewed and in compliance. Three staff records were reviewed. Six medications were reviewed and in compliance. The emergency escape drill log was reviewed and in compliance. The first aid kit, flashlight, and weather band radio were observed and in compliance. The most recent fire inspection was documented as April 4, 2016. The most recent health inspection was documented as May 2, 2016. Standard #: 22VAC40-191-60-C-2 Description: Based on a review of five staff records it was determined that not all staff records had central registry findings within 30 days of employment. Evidence: The record for staff A with a hire date of September 15, 2016 did not have a central registry finding. Plan of Correction: The director will obtain a copy of the central registry findings from the human resource department.
