An Unannounced monitoring visit was conducted today from 10:00-11:15. Nine children were present with two adults (a paid staff member and a parent co-op member). Children were observed in free play, bathroom break and hand washing, transition to the large inside play area and riding trikes. The outside playground was not available due to wet and cold weather. Emergency drills, first aid kit and trainings were up to date. No medication was reported to be on-site during the inspection. Areas of non-compliance are identified in this report. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-60-A Description: Based on record review, 1 of 3 records was incomplete. Evidence: Child #1's record was missing two complete emergency contact addresses. Plan of Correction: Center Director will ask the parent today to complete the addresses.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-270-A Description: Based on observation, a closet in the multi-purpose room was not maintained in a operable condition. Evidence: The wall board has a large hole and visible pieces of wall board are laying on the floor. Plan of Correction: The Center Director will request the facility maintenance to add a lock to the door to keep it inaccessible to the children.
