Today we discussed emergency preparedness, lockdown procedures and reunification plans.
An unannounced Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection was conducted from 11:30am through 2:40pm. There were 69 children in care ages infant months through six years with 13 teachers. Children and staff records were reviewed. Children were observed in teacher and self-directed activities including but not limited lunch, restroom routines and nap.
Standard #: VENDSUB-000-031-A Description: Based review of procedures and interview the vendor failed to have procedures to address reuniting children with parents or authorized person designated by the parent to pick up the child. Evidence: 1 - There are not any procedures to address reuniting children with parents available for review during the inspection. 2 - Staff 1 and 2 stated the center did not have a written reunification plan. Plan of Correction: Center management will write, create, implement and train center staff on the reunification procedure.

Evidence: 1 - There are not any lockdown procedures available for review during the inspection. 2 - Staff 1 and 2 stated that the center did not have a lockdown procedure. Plan of Correction: Center management will create, write, implement and train all staff on the lockdown procedure.
