An unannounced inspection for license renewal was conducted today from approximately 10:40 to 2:30pm. Ratios for all nine classes were found in compliance. The children were observed playing games in the gym, participating in group time, dancing and movement activities, eating lunch and resting. The children also had a visitor from the African American History Museum today. Positive staff/child interactions were observed and staff encouraged independence and self direction. The center continues to have a good supply and variety of age appropriate equipment and materials. Medication procedures were reviewed and found in order. Staff and children's records were also reviewed. The outside play area was not checked today because of rain. The exit interview was conducted with the director. If you have any questions, I can be reached at 703-479-4709.
