Comments:
An unannounced Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection (SHSI) was conducted today. Observed 4 children (8 points) directly supervised by the provider. Ratio and supervision were in compliance. Operational responsibilities, children's information, caregiver training and development, parental involvement and notifications, nutrition and food services, emergencies and emergency drills, and transportation and field trips were reviewed. The children were engaged in various activities, to include: getting ready for nap, potty training, hand washing, welcoming the inspector and then asking me to "please be quiet so she could sleep"! A friend that does not nap helped lead the tour and also helped show the inspector how to clean up after lunch. Parent pick up was also observed. Areas of non-compliance are identified in this report. The exit interview was conducted with the Provider. Inspection conducted 1:40 pm to 3:00 pm. If you have any questions regarding today's inspection, please contact Kelly.Savittiere@dss.virginia.gov
