An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today from 7:10am-8:30am. There were 26 school age children directly supervised by 3 staff. The physical environment, 5 child records, medications, evacuation drills, injury reports, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed participating in group play, building with blocks, and caring for chicken eggs in an incubator. There was an adequate number of staff with current certification in MAT, CPR and First Aid training. Staff-to-child ratios were in compliance. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-550-E Description: Based on observation and interview, the center did not maintain a record of the date of the practice evacuation drill in April. Evidence: The SACC staff stated they completed the evacuation drill in April. The drill completed in April was not recorded on the emergency drill log. Plan of Correction: The drill will be recorded on the fire drill log.
