Comments:
This unannounced annual subsidy health and safety inspection was conducted from 9:30 A.M. until 12:30 P.M. At the time of the inspection 100 children were present with 19 staff. The subsidy requirements were reviewed with the director. Four children's records were reviewed, six staff records were reviewed, one child's medication and supporting documents were reviewed and the emergency plan was reviewed. Standard #: VENDSUB-000-031-B-1
Description: Based on a review of the emergency plan and interview, the administration failed to update the emergency evacuation plan to include: accommodations or special requirements for infants, toddlers, and children with special needs to ensure their safety during evacuation or relocation; and procedures to address reuniting children with parents or authorized person designated by the parent to pick up the child.

Evidence:

A review of the current evacuation plan with the director was conducted. The plan did not contain accommodations for infants, toddlers, and children with special needs and procedures to reunite children with parents.

Plan of Correction: The emergency plan will be updated by the end of business today.
