Continue to follow up on one child's proof of identity.
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 8:00 am- 9:30. At the time of entrance, 17 children were in care with 6 staff members present. Children were observed during snack time, engaged in activities; computer games, and blocks. The playground and surfacing was inspected. Four new staff background checks were inspected. A selection of staff and children records, medications and other documents were reviewed. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the violation notice. Please contact your licensing inspector if you have any questions.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-160-A Description: Based on record review, it was determined that a staff record did not include a TB screening completed within 12 months prior to the date of hire, or 21 days after. Evidence: Staff #1 was hired 2/13/17, the TB test is dated 4/18/17. Plan of Correction: The director will ensure that TB screenings are obtained 12 months prior to hire or within 21 days of hire.
