Comments:
Licensing Inspector arrived at 10:00 AM and departed at 12:30 PM. At the time of the inspection, there were 36 children (ages infant through preschool) in care with seven staff. Children were observed reading books, painting and playing with toys. Infant care and medication was also reviewed. The sample size was four staff and four children's records. Violations were noted in the areas of administration, and staff qualifications & training.

Violations:
Standard #: VENDSUB-000-004-F
Description: Based on interview and observation, it was determined that the vendor did not post a current list of all children's allergies, sensitivities and dietary restrictions. Evidence: 1. The only allergy list in the building was in the infant #2 room and not immediately accessible to all staff. 2. The allergy list contained only two children, one with an allergy and one with a dietary restriction. Two additional children were identified through interview and review of records.

Plan of Correction: Center management will review all children's records and ensure that there is a complete list immediately available to all staff.

Standard #: VENDSUB-000-005-B
Description: Based on observation and interview, it was determined that for each group of children, the vendor did not ensure that a written record of daily attendance that documents the arrival and departure of each child in care as it occurs. Evidence: 1. The attendance in the three-year-old classroom indicated that there were six children present. There were eight children present. 2. The staff in the infant room stated that they did not keep attendance in their classroom.

Plan of Correction: Center management will develop a procedure where attendance is documented to actually reflect when children are in care.

Standard #: VENDSUB-000-012-E
Description: Based on review of four staff records, it was determined that the vendor did not ensure that all staff providing care to children have current cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and first aid within 30 days of employment. Evidence: Staff #4, date of hire 3/31/17, did not have documentation of current CPR and first aid in the record.

Plan of Correction: Staff member will obtain CPR and first aid. Center will ensure that all staff obtain training within 30 days of employment.
