An unannounced subsidy health and safety inspection (SHSI) was conducted with the center director and center staff. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date (see that report for details). There are currently 30 staff employed by the facility. Staff still need documentation of the mandatory VA Preservice Training and current certification in first aid and CPR. There are six children with diagnosed food allergies currently enrolled - please get a written allergy action plan from the physician. The emergency preparedness plan was reviewed for reunification plans and lockdown procedures. Reminder: evacuation drills are required monthly, shelter in place drills are required twice a year, and a lockdown drill is required once a year. Lockdown drills are to isolate children and staff from a security threat; shelter in place is to protect children from a natural or manmade threat. If you have any questions regarding this inspection, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org. A compliance history is in no way a rating for a facility.
