Technical Assistance:
The following was discussed with the program director: 22VAC40-185-(7)-510-A Requirements for administering prescription medications Positive redirection was also discussed.

Comments:
Licensing Inspector arrived at 9:15am and departed at 12:00pm to conduct a Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection. At the time of the tour there were 73 children in care with 25 staff present. A sample of 7 staff and 7 children's records were reviewed. There was 1 medication on site. Children were observed playing in centers, during clean-up, toileting and lunch.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-550-B
Description: Based on a record review the center failed to ensure all required components were included in the emergency preparedness procedures. Evidence: The center's evacuation and shelter-in-place procedures did not include the following: sounding of the alarms, method to alert emergency responders, notification of local authorities, designated primary and secondary assembly points, available and use of communication tools, method of communication with parents, securing of essential documents,essential files and health supplies, method of communication after the evacuation.

Plan of Correction: the emergency plan will be in place by 08/11/2017. The safety captain monitors to ensure emergency plans are compliant through monthly inspection. Management will monitor compliance through periodic inspection. District manager inspects periodically on visits
