Discussion of the subsidy regulations and how they apply to the Child Day Center (CDC).

Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety (SHSI) inspection was conducted at the Kinder Care Learning Center #926 located in the town of Leesburg, Virginia. This inspection was conducted on 08/24/2017, between the hours of 10 am through 3:30 pm to review supplemental health and safety requirements. An Unannounced Monitoring licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice. If you should have any future questions, please call. Standard #: VENDSUB-000-031-B-1
Description: Based on review, not all of the procedures for an evacuation was contained within the center's Emergency Preparedness Plan (EPP). Evidence - 1. On the date of inspection (08/24/2017), the procedures to address reuniting children with parents or authorized person designated by the parent to pick up the child was not available for review. 2. This was confirmed on the date of inspection by the Center Director.

Plan of Correction: Reunification procedures shall be added to the EPP.

Description: Based on review, not all of the procedures for shelter-in-place was contained within the center's Emergency Preparedness Plan (EPP). Evidence - 1. On the date of inspection (08/24/2017), the procedures to address reuniting children with parents or authorized person designated by the parent to pick up the child was not available for review. 2. This was confirmed on the date of inspection by the Center Director.
