The licensing inspector completed a scheduled modification study on Thursday, August 16, 2017 from 9:30am to 12:00pm. The program has requested to include the JK programs located in Nunnally and Lucks Hall as part of its licensed program. Some but not all standards were checked during the inspection. The floor plan for the building was previously received. Measurements of the classrooms where the JK programs will be meeting as well as all resource rooms and cafeteria area were taken during the inspection. There were sufficient furniture and age appropriate materials available for the anticipated number of children in care. All areas of the building along with classrooms, hallways, cafeteria, bathrooms and outside play area were checked. There are adequate space and toileting facilities to accommodate the program's request. Classrooms have areas designated for children's belongings. All required information was posted including emergency plans and phone numbers and daily schedules. Policies and procedures were reviewed and discussed with a school official. A recommendation will be made to modify your license to reflect your request. If you have any questions about this inspection, please contact Licensing Inspector, Lynn Powers at (804) 662-9790.
