Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 9/14/17 to review supplemental health and safety requirements.

The following staff-to-child ratios and activities were observed.

Infants: There were seven infants with two staff. The infants were observed having free play on the floor dancing to music.

Toddlers: There were five children with one staff. The children were sitting at the table preparing to do a food project with bananas.

Two Years: There were 14 children with two staff. The children were observed having circle time, the children and staff were sitting on the rug and one staff was reading the children a story.

Preschool (Three Years): There were nine children with one staff. The children were sitting at the table playing a board game "All about Me" with direction from staff.

Pre-K (Three-Four Years): There were nine children with one staff. The children were observed having story time.

Lunch consisted of chicken tacos, corn, pears and milk.

Eight staff records were reviewed.
Eight children's records were reviewed.
No medications at the center today.
All classrooms were observed today.
Conversations were held with several staff and children.

A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date at the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
