A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 9/25/17 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. Licensing Inspector arrived at 10:00am and departed at 2:10pm. At the time of the tour, there were 67 children, ages three months old through four years old. Children were observed participating in classroom activities, playing outside, eating lunch, and during rest period. The sample size was seven children and 15 staff. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice.
Standard #: VENDSUB-000-005-B Description: Based on a record review and interview, it was determined that the vendor failed to maintain, for each group of children, a written record (hard copy) of daily attendance that documents the arrival and departure of each child in care as it occurs. Evidence: 1. The center did not have written documentation of the arrival and departure times for all of the children in care. 2. Administrative staff confirmed that there was not documentation of the arrival and departure times for all of the children in care. Plan of Correction: The vendor responded: Staff will be trained to record the arrival time and departure time of each child on the daily attendance sheet to ensure it is documented. Center management will double check attendance sheets on a daily basis to ensure that the arrival time and departure time is recorded for each child.
