Technical Assistance:
Discussed MAT training expiring at end of the month.

Comments:
Today an unannounced Monitoring Inspection took place between the hours of 2:20pm and 4:00pm. At the start of the inspection there were a total of 35 children with 2 staff; all ratios were incompliance. A total of 5 children?s files were reviewed. The children were observed entering the program from school, going outside to play. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at whitney.mcgrath@dss.virginia.gov. Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-60-A-7
Description: Based on observation and interview, the program does not have proper authorization to take action in the event of an allergic reaction. Evidence: Child #1 is diagnosed with a food allergy and has doctors instructions to have Benadryl and/or an EpiPen administered in the event of an emergency. There is no medication on site.

Plan of Correction: I will continue to ask the parents to provide the medication. I will contact my supervisor if the medication is not provided.
